The Strategic Plan is a pioneering document in Europe born of reflection, debate and participation of citizen organisations that form the necessary means to modernise and motivate the Third/Social Sector, in agreement with social demands. The Third/Social Sector NGO National Council approved the Strategic Plan on February 9th 2006 and it was drawn up energised by the NGO Social Action Platform, which coordinated the work of the Council Group created for this purpose.

This book, published in the Colección debates / Collection of debates, gathers the content of the speeches, round tables, workshops and conclusions of the congress held in Madrid on December 2006.

150 representatives from 85 social organisations from all over Spanish participated in this event, organised by the Platform in collaboration with the Comisión de Calidad del Consejo Estatal de ONG de Acción Social / Quality Commission of the NGO National Council, Fundación Luis Vives / the Luis Vives Foundation and also with the support of the Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs.

Third/Social Sector and Social Rights
